Accessibility and inclusion
Spillaboratoriet should be for everyone, and so we are always working towards making the space as accessible as possible. If you’re in doubt as to whether you, or your child would be able to participate in one of our activities, don’t hesitate to contact us via e-mail yu0w@kk.dk or call us at +4540329421
On this page we have done our best to describe the psychical accessibility of the building and in general. But if you find there is any information missing, or have any questions, please reach out to us by mail or by calling us!

General Facilities
Acoustics
Valby Culture Center is an old factory building with concrete walls, and as such you might experience different levels of acoustics throughout.
In Spillaboratoriet specifically we have installed a range of acoustic improvements in both the hallway as well as the individual rooms.
Types of rooms on the 3rd floor
In Spillaboratoriet the rooms are designed to house different activities. Including a larger room with tables and chairs, a smaller living room, with soft furniture, a small office for concentrated work and a DnD room.
Furniture
Most of the chairs throughout the 3rd floor are sturdy dining room chairs, with soft padding. Around half of which has armrests.
Read more about the individual rooms and see pictures of them here: The Space
Food and drink
You are free to bring your own food and drink, but we kindly ask that you clean up after yourself and throw out your trash in one the bins.
The café on the 1st floor offers a selection of food and drinks, to be enjoyed at the café or to be brought up. Note that all cutlery, glass, containers etc. has to be returned to the café.
Alcohol is not allowed on the 3rd floor.
For organizers
Spillaboratoriet encourages all its associations and communities to consider inclusion and accessibility when organizing their events and to include any relevant information in their communication.
If you have any questions as an organizer regarding inclusion and accessibility, do not hesitate to contact the project leader.
Code of Conduct
In Spillaboratoriet we want everyone to feel welcome. And to ensure this we have, in collaboration with our associations and communities, written the following Code of Conduct, or as we call it – Laborantens Kodex
- Introduce yourself
Remember to tell new people who you and your friends are, and what you’re doing
- We learn from each other
Here we care about teaching others. It is always okay to ask for help and be curious about what others are doing.
- Everyone deserves respect
We never make fun of anything to do with race, gender, sexuality, religion, handicap or things beyond our control.
- We remember to have an open chair
Always make sure to have an empty chair or open space in the circle so others can join you.
- Assume the best
Try assume the best about others – you might even be able to learn from eachother!
- Everyone is awesome
Spillaboratoriet is for everyone. No matter if your new, young or old.
- Listen to each other
Everyone has different boundaries, so remember to listen to each other.
Remember that no means no, and if you are ever in doubt – then ask!
- Everyone apologizes
We all make mistakes, but here we remember to apologize – even if it wasn’t on purpose.
