How to join

Spillaboratoriet is for nerds and others interested in games regardless of age, with the goal of supporting and expanding the analogue games- and nerd community. 

Spillaboratoriet is found on the 3rd floor in Valby Culture Center, where our resident associations and communities host a range of different events and activities. 

What can I do in Spillaboratoriet? In Spillaboratoriet you can participate in different volunteer run events or find help to organize your own. 

When and where can I participate? Find our event calendar at the bottom of this page or follow us on Facebook, where events are posted throughout the year. 

Opening hours: The floor is open from 08am-10pm. The doors are usually locked with a code, which you can find at the Administration Office on the 1st floor. 

If you have questions or an idea for an event, you can contact the project leader by sending an e-mail to yu0w@kk.dk or simply drop by the Administration Office Mon-Fri between 10am-4pm 

Who can use the facilities? All members of a resident association or community are free to use our facilities. 

Who can become a resident in Spillaboratoriet? All associations and communities with a focus on analogue gaming and nerd activities, can apply to become a resident. 

They do however pledge themselves to

• Actively work towards the goals and vision of Spillaboratoriet
• Actively participate in the user democracy and our 4 annual Council meetings
• Actively work towards generating awareness around themselves and their activities. Fx. by hosting open events, where curious citizens can participate.
• Take responsibility for our shared spaces
• Ensuring that Spillaboratoriet remains a safe and welcoming space for everyone

How do we become a resident? As a result of the overwhelming interest, we currently don’t accept new resident applications. It is however still possible to apply to run a specific event or a regular activity through and in Spillaboratoriet.

What if I’m just me? Most of our associations and communities are open to new members. Meet them at one of their events or reach out to them through their site- links on the page Associations and communities. You are also welcome to use Spillaboratoriets own Facebook page to reach out and find people who share your interests.
