Historisk har havet været både et symbol på liv og et spejl for menneskets indre tilstande, men i dag er det truet af temperaturstigninger, forurening og iltsvind, som destabiliserer dets komplekse økosystemer. At skabe forbindelse til havet gennem kultur er ikke kun en æstetisk praksis, men en nødvendighed i en tid, hvor havet er i krise.

Hypoxia once again presents three acts that explore, through sound and body, our relationship with the sea, its myths, and contemporary issues. Historically, the sea has been both a symbol of life and a mirror of human inner states, but today it is threatened by rising temperatures, pollution, and oxygen depletion, which destabilize its complex ecosystems. Creating a connection to the sea through culture is not only an aesthetic practice, but a necessity in a time when the ocean is in crisis.
