Performance Hour / Unpacking the Parametres

You are invited to watch participants of the "Unpacking the Parameters" workshop co-create in real time!

A two-day workshop for musicians and dancers of all levels culminates in two nights of live performances. Practice is one thing - the unique art form of improvisation truly unfolds when audiences can share in the vulnerability and courage to take risks that are at stake in the live setting.

Whether you are improvising or listening/watching an improvisation, the most important thing is to show up with your generosity and curiosity to accept whatever happens!

Performance Hour is when we open the doors to the public and offer insight into this special way of working. The event kicks off with a set by contrabassist Jonathan Aardestrup and dancer Maya Dalinsky, a duo that has been facilitating research and performing improv together since 2023 and the teachers of the workshop. The evening then continues with an open floor: workshop participants get a chance to test the waters and share their experiments with you!
